BACK TO SCHOOL

Kids head back to School on Monday August 30, 2010 Mykeal & Dawnaven are going into the 4th grade at E.W. Griffith elementary school and GeriLynn is going into the 6th grade at Hyde Park middle school boy how time fly's...
We have had a busy summer at our house we have been swimming at the YMCA all summer along with a vacation to California and Utah to see the family and friends that we have missed dearly...
Had to go and change GeriLynn's schedule at school they think she is too smart for her won good and put her in a college prep class at the age of 11 I don't think so...I called and had her schedule changed to a band class hopefully this will workout or we will have to change her again... We just had pictures taken for the family and the kids together so they will be posted soon....

April around our house

April came in with a bang and hopefully this month goes well Mykeal got his short arm cast on on Thursday the 1st he goes back in 2 weeks to get it off. He then went the following day to get fitted for his new leg braces which are going to be way cool with hindges to help him walk better and his foot lift up when he walks we can't wait for these to get done..He picked out levi color with flame ankle strap and red cushion and straps for the braces so he will be in color. Joe and I go back to court the 22 to see what is going to happen to his kids in California that we have been fighting for for over 3 years hopefully that wont ruin a good month at home..I got to a lot of catching up with my brother on Saturday the 3 we talked for 3 hours on the phone catching up on life both his and mine..Kids went back to school the 5 and have been busy doing school work and reading..They enjoyed Easter they all got balls so they can play four square and dodge ball with the neighborhood kids there baskets were also tote bins that transform into there toy box now that Easter is over.

Mykeal and Braces

Mykeal went to the doctor again today for his feet they are making him AFO braces (Braces that go all the way up to his calve or his knee from his foot) for his legs to help out with his ankles and his toes until his bones and feet a mature enough to be fused together...I hope this works and he can live with AFO's till he is about 16 then we can do more to his feet hopefully...Yeah another summer without cast 2 in a row we are on a roll now I am so excited for him....

Long Lost Brother

I talked to my grandma on my real dads side on Thursday about finding the family on facebook so she told me took look up a Derek Pelton so I did well I found him and grandma said that is your brother I had no clue I had another brother from my dad. I got the guts up last night to call him and it was indeed him and we have a lot to catch up on 31 years of catching up to do...I wish someone over the last years would have told me I had another brother but I guess now is as good as ever to get to know him...I stayed up till 1 am which is 4 am his time talking to him it was wonderful...

Kids Spring Break

Beginning Monday March 29, 2010 my life is going to be more hectic than it already is the kids are out for there week long spring break and there Grandma will be here from Utah to see them...But on the good note all the kids will be off groundation because they got all there grades back up to where they belong. They are very active 9 and 10 year olds who love to play outside.. We start off our spring break with Mykeal going back to the Doctor for his feet to see if he gets new braces or more surgery poor little guy...But all in all it will be a great week to be with the kids...Joe is feeling better also so this helps matter more.
